Pets are what we do! Everyone at Companion Animal Clinic & Pet Resort is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and care to every client that walks through our door. Because we love and care for your pets just like we do our own, we look forward to serving you and them.
New Client Information
If you have a veterinary emergency, please call our office at 319-277-2354. We have a call service available to direct you appropriately. If your pet is not in a critical situation, please call during business hours to schedule an appointment. This ensures a timely visit for you and your pet.
If this is your first visit to our clinic, please let us know in advance. We will be happy to help obtain any previous pet health records so we can have them on hand for your first appointment.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your pet's safety, we require your pet be placed on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering the waiting room.
For your convenience, we provide "drop-off appointments" if we know in advance. Feel free to bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to 'drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine your pet in between appointments or at the scheduled appointment time. Once the doctor is finished, he/she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and discharge instructions.

New Client Forms
If you are a new client to Companion Animal Clinic & Pet Resort, please arrive 15 minutes early in order to complete the New Client Form prior to your scheduled appointment time. We are looking forward to meeting you and your pet!
Promotions
Be certain to leave your email address with our front desk. We will send out emails to our clients, communicating seasonal promotions we may be running.
Laboratory Testing, Radiology/Pathology
Many times it is necessary to perform laboratory and/or xray procedures to determine a correct diagnosis. These procedures are not included in the examination fee.
Payment & Cancellation Policies
We expect payment at the time of service. If additional services are recommended we will do our best to provide a cost estimate. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about your pet's treatment and plan your budget accordingly.
In addition to cash, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also accept Care Credit, a no or low interest payment plan.
If you cannot keep your appointment, kindly notify us 24 hours in advance so that we are able to fill the appointment time for care for other pets in need.
Telephone Calls
While we understand your desire for diagnostic information, it is not our policy to recommend treatment over the phone. Calls regarding the status of a hospitalized pet at our clinic will be returned by a trained veterinary technician or office personnel.
